Yardscrapers UK - Going from strength to strength

This year will see Yardscrapers UK, manufacturer of Maxiscrape, the world's most effective tractor-powered yard and house cleaning system, celebrate its 25th birthday. It's often overlooked that in the light of ever tightening environmental regulations the need for an effective scraping/cleaning system is crucially important.

Maxiscrape: makes light work of all yard cleaning operations
Unique to the Maxiscrape is its double blade action, the end result being a 50% plus reduction in the amount of time required to clean out livestock passages and yards. What's more, this innovative system collects and contains all consistencies of farmyard manure, while at the same time ensuring no losses of slurry round posts and doorways. Maxiscrape can be used on uneven surfaces and can access the tightest of corners. Features of the system include:

  • Durable, made of quality steel
  • Fully galvanised, hot dipped box sections
  • 10 years + expected lifespan
  • Efficient, cuts scraping time in half
  • No loss of slurry round posts or doorways
  • Leaves very clean finish
  • Automatic push/pull operation
  • Flexible, follows all uneven surfaces
  • Helps improve cattles feet, less slurry
  • Quicker yard drying time
  • Low cost replacement rubber blades
  • Easy to install replacement parts
  • Weight control
  • Availability in 4 sizes

Company sales manager Anne Middleton confirms that interest in Maxiscrape continues to grow.

"We have sold 300 systems during the current winter season to farmers throughout Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Irish Republic and the Channel Islands," she said.

"And we are hoping to build on that during the period ahead."

Sometimes it takes someone from outside your own sector to tell you just how effective a particular product is. And in the case of Maxiscrape, this has recently come from Viridor Waste Management, one of the largest landfill operators in the South of England. Anne takes up the story.

"We had previously sold a Maxiscrape system to a farmer whose land bordered the Viridor landfill site near Lewes in Sussex. Obviously, landfill operators are under great pressure to keep surrounding roads clean at all times. But once the Viridor people had seen our system in action, they immediately made up their minds to buy one. Seeing is indeed believing!"
